Murthy (Appaswamy)is 6th from the right seated in the front row. Somehow, I always associated my father with cricket as he batted, bowled some spin, and kept wickets sometimes. If I have it right, when I was botn in 1960 my father was captaining Madurai Districts.Vishnu Murthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04897588189765317465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011427350933599116.post-57782773073437166742018-07-22T16:54:31.431-07:002018-07-22T16:54:31.431-07:00In my earlier post I should have been more clear a...In my earlier post I should have been more clear as there are 2 people in light colored jackets. In the photo that says "C.Srikantan with his arms on resting on other's shoulders", the person in the light colored (grey?) jacket, is my father B.K.V. Murthy. Bangalore Krishna Vishwa Murthy. He was also known by some as Appaswamy. In the very next photo, my Dad is in the tope row, left. I remember him telling us about the Mysore Gymkhana being good but forgot the specifics. Keep going and thanks again for the memories.Vishnu Murthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04897588189765317465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011427350933599116.post-84789277883168874382010-04-27T15:26:05.336-07:002010-04-27T15:26:05.336-07:00K.R. Kapanipathy a former South India champion (for 10 years before Ramanathan Krishnan) and Mysore State champion for number of years is in this very rare photograph wearing dark glasses and standing to the left of Ramanathan Krishnan. I really appreciate this photogarph and was wondering if you had access perhaps to other similar tennis photographs. Please let me know. My e-mail is arunbkumar_us@yahoo.com.

Thank you so much.

B.K.ArunKumarAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06024030383907691388noreply@blogger.com
